Purgatory: “The doctrine upon which the Roman Catholic church stands or falls”- Part III
I’ve been working through J. Gresham Machen’s Christianity and Liberalism and came across a quote as he was comparing the religion of the Judaizer’s in Galatia with the religion of Paul, that follows up from my last thought from the previous post.
He writes, “Such an attempt to piece out the work of Christ by our own merit…is the very essence of unbelief. Christ will do everything or nothing.”
