The Prosperity Gospel
Galatians 1:6-9:
I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!
The prosperity gospel that is being spread by so many “charismaniacs” continues to pollute and pervert the purity of the true Gospel of the glory of God demonstrated in the cross of Jesus Christ not only in America but this heresy is now infecting many parts of Africa and Asia. I love this video of Piper. It is so sad and such a travesty to see so many of our young people being pulled into this false gospel. The devil’s ability to make our selfishness seem holy is one of his greatest tools. Thank goodness for people like Piper who loudly proclaim the falsehood and idolatry involved in this false gospel. This is a great post and one that all youth groups should watch so they can properly recognize this form of false gospel. Nice post.
